Training Camp Alli Opsi / General Information
You can participate at the Training Camp regardless of the time you acquired your disability. A basic pre-requisite is that participants can move a manual wheelchair independently for a few meters. The number of participants does not exceed 30 individuals in every training camp.
The Instructors of the Camp have themselves a physical disability. You will work closely with them not only as part of the activities but also in order to find ways that meet your daily needs best.
The Support Group is an important part of the Training Camp and includes people with great experience on training and issues as well as personal assistance. Many of them are physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, while others have interest in disability issues. The Support Group is selected after attending intensive training provided by Alli Opsi.
Training occurs mainly through a variety of activities, as well as through daily support of daily needs. Support for us means training, and training is provided every moment, by Trainers and Support Group alike.
Swedish Instructors and Support Group participate in every Alli Opsi Training Camp.
The location where the Training Camps take place may change, but it always meets basic principles and standards of accessibility for people with tetraplegia.
